A native of rural North Carolina, I grew
up the fourth of five children in a lower class working family. Money was sparse, but love and family was bountiful.
I lived in North Carolina until I was nineteen
and joined the US Army, where I trained as an Air Traffic Controller (ATC). I enjoyed my years with the Army. It
allowed me to fulfill a life long dream of traveling. I was able to travel to such destinations as Korea, Egypt, Honduras, Portugal,
Puerta Rico, and Granada.
During my tour at Fort Bragg, NC, I met
and married my wife Kelly. At the time, she was RADAR ATC, but has since attended Nursing School and is now a Registered
Nurse. We have two children, Alex, Abby.
After six years in the Army, I worked
for a short time with Freightliner Corp. building trucks. I'm now employed by the Federal Aviation Administration in
LA, or Lower Alabama.
I began writing several years ago as a
relief for stress and to just see if I could. I belong to a critique group that meets on AOL every Monday night,
and they have been a tremendous help to me in developing my writing skills. I've placed second in several short story
contest and first in one. I write mostly suspense/thriller stuff with a little paranormal thrown in from time to time.
